Your local search specialist. But not really. I don’t live in Bristol. I don’t even have an office in Bristol. (Come to think of it, although we rank for multiple search phrases that have “Bath” in them I don’t have an office in Bath either. But, still rank in the maps and SERPS even after Google’s proximity filter came into play.)
So why say that in the headline above? Why make that claim? Why take even the smallest chance that you’ll be annoyed with the lie about the optimisation speciality for Bristol?
Simples! 🙂 Because this page is built to rank for the term “SEO Bristol”. That ‘headline’ above? It’s big and bold on this site because this is built with WordPress and the wordpress theme I am using shows the H1 tags in Bold. It doesn’t need to be in bold (although that might help the search bots identify what this page is about) – it just is. Because of the theme. The important thing is that I have the word in the H1 tags. Because big G loves that.
Before I forget – since this is the first iteration of this page (dated 22 June 2016) then let’s see if we can rank in the top five for “SEO Bristol” WITHOUT any backlinks. Might put some ‘social proof’ to it if needed – which are not links, btw) but let’s see.
(NB: I will update the timeline and confess if any links are place to this page, but for now link-less search optimisation is what we are going for. For clarity, no external links – so nothing to buy, nothing to rent, nothing to go out and find. Which btw, we are very, VERY good at.)
Isn’t the fact that you are reading this proof enough that we take sites to the top (well, towards the top at the very least!)
Another way to make this page rank is to talk about Bristol AND to talk about search engine optimisation. If I can find a way to have BOTH of those topics in the same paragraph then happy days! Come to think of it…..didn’t I just do that? Nice.
(By the way…..after reading this page, read it again and see if you can spot why it ranks so very well.) And if you don’t have the skill or time to do that then exercise your hands – pick up the phone and call. You will probably find an answerphone at the other end, but leave a message and I’ll call you back as soon as I can.
But let’s go on shall we? The next line you are going to see if I have this wp code thing worked out properly 😉 is an H2 tag with a partial match phrase in it.
Search Engine Optimisation for Bristol
A ‘partial phrase match’ that has ‘something’ to do with the main keyword we are aiming for – like, the one above for example. “Search Engine Optimisation” is the full wording of SEO. But you knew that already, right? Of course you did. That’s why you are here in the first place. So please, do read on. If you don’t learn at least one thing in the rest of this article to boost your site rankings I’ll eat your hat.
. When I take on a new client, the very first thing we do is to to study the site with a magnifying glass looking for on-page errors. Honest to goodness you probably would not believe just how much improvement can be made for many, many keywords just by tweaking the content and code on your pages.
D’y aknow what the best thing about that is? Well, since you ask I’ll tell you.
YOU SEE THE IMPROVEMENTS IN DAYS, not the weeks (or even months) it can take for links to kick in.

Having no fear of competitors is natural. We don’t see any doing things like we do so, if anything, we are always looking for new opportunities to work with designers who design the type of site, or work with the type of customers that we do not design for. In the spirit of co-operation and strength through diversity we love giving links out to the right people.
